AWANA Program

WELCOME to the exciting world of AWANA clubs!  We are thrilled that you are putting priority on your child’s training for life by having him/her in AWANA.  As parents with clubbers of our own, we assure you that the results are very worthwhile.

Our AWANA program runs on Wednesday Nights 6:30-8:00pm. We have various activities and special events and night that can be prepared for on our AWANA calendar.

God says, “Train up your child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).  Realizing that today children are faced with more difficult decisions than ever before, AWANA provides the biblical foundation necessary for them to succeed.  AWANA presents an opportunity for each child to grow in his/her relationship with God and others.

If you have any questions, need help with club procedures, or would like to help in AWANA please feel free to call Nathan or Krista Humphrey at 285-3399.

About Our Club

Opening Ceremony: consists of a short flag ceremony and singing of all the AWANA clubs theme songs.

Handbook Time: consists of clubbers saying “sections” in their handbooks that have been studied at home, discussing what the Bible verses mean, and how they apply to their everyday lives.  A section must be said to the leader in one sitting with no more than 2 helps per section.  If the clubber is reviewing their book, they are not allowed any helps at all.

Game Time: consists of fast paced AWANA games.  Our game time is a unique time to learn Christian sportsmanship and respect for others.

Council Time: consists of songs, sharing, and a Bible lesson that clubbers can relate to.
Awards Ceremony: consists of presentations of awards the clubbers have earned each night.

  1. Tennis shoes will be worn for games.
  2. At times, leaders will use a “5-Count” when they need clubbers to get quiet.  Clubbers are expected to be quiet by 5.
  3. Clubbers will not bring food, drink, gum, or any other inappropriate items.
  4. Any clubber causing problems during the evening will be given a “3-Count.”  The first is a warning.  The second is a conference with the director, and the third results in conference with commanders, a call home to parents, and a 1 day suspension from AWANA
